When we receive the speakers, we'll fully evaluate their cosmetic and sonic condition. We will measure their performance and compare them to our original design prototype. We have a computerized model of the performance characteristics of all but the oldest THIELs which makes the comparison precise. Utilizing our quasi-anechoic chamber, we will check their frequency response, sensitivity, and phase response. We'll also listen to them by ear with a variety of familiar recordings. Any and all abnormalities are noted. This is the same process that every new THIEL goes through at final assembly. Once the notes are compiled, we'll issue an estimate to you by e-mail or phone. In most cases, an estimate can be completed within 48 to 72 hours of their arrival. We can discuss the estimate in detail, and once you approve it, we'll get to work. Most restorations can be completed within 2 weeks after the approved estimate has
been received.
